Alexandra Padovani (1985) is a freelance photographer who lives and works in Corsica.
After spending some ten years developing photographic projects in the field of travel, in 2021 she shifted her focus towards documentary photography and the development of long-term personal projects.

Trained in photojournalism, from which she graduated in 2023, she now approaches her practice as a form of sensitive investigation. Her research centres on ecological and social issues, which she explores through the concepts of lineage, memory and belonging. Landscapes and their transformations, family roots and human migration fuel a line of thinking that forms a central theme of her work.

In her practice, photography and writing engage in dialogue and complement one another. Drawing on a collection of testimonies and archival material, her projects take the form of visual narratives in which images, fragments of memory and documentary traces interplay.

She is a member of  the Hans Lucas agency, through which her work is distributed to the press.
